Record Rain / Cooler Next Week?

Friday Factor: More rain in store.

Record rain in Key West:

... Record daily rainfall received at Key West Airport for Wednesday October 22nd... The Key West International Airport received 7.30 inches of rainfall. This rainfall total well surpasses the previous record of 2.54 inches set back in 1898... 110 years ago.

Interesting note... this rainfall total makes Wednesday the eleventh wettest day ever recorded in Key West.

We are still under the influence of a warm front near the straits and a low in the Gulf. They will continue to push moisture our way and so our chances for rain stay high through tomorrow.

Saturday, a cold front now over Texas/Louisiana should move in and keep us with a threat of thunderstorms.

By Monday our weather should be very mild, however, some long range models suggest a re-enforcing shot of cold air by early next week which could drop temps in interior portions of Miami-Dade and Broward into the upper 50's.
