Soggy end to the work week?
Over the next few days our chances for rain may go up dramatically. If one is to believe the latest observations and model runs, Thursday and Friday ( and maybe part of your weekend ) could be a wash out.
On the image to the left, you can see a cold front just entering Colorado. By Wednesday, the front should start its push south ( a push that should take it all the way into Cuba by Sunday ) and keep our atmosphere unstable adding to the rain chances.
Here is what we are looking at:
- There is a disturbance over Honduras moving west with little chance of organization. The moisture related with this disturbance is breaking away and heading in our direction. As it moves toward us , it will also drag a warm air mass.
- This warm front is expected to arrive by Thursday, our atmosphere will become unstable and so our chances for rain will go up.
- Then there is a cold front over the Rockies, aiming for the Florida straits.
Over the next 24 to 36 hours, the moisture from the disturbance will move north. The warm front will also start drifting our way and make for a rainy Thursday.

The fly in the ointment is always the timing. If everything plays out as the models suggest, our weather should begin to improve by Saturday night. If the cold front slows down or stalls, then the rain chances may linger in through Monday or Tuesday.
Some of the models are also hinting at some large amounts of rainfall. We'll have to wait and see just how much moisture is hanging around as all the systems approach us. We will have a better idea by Wednesday.

Next week when the cold front comes will it get any cooler around davie,fl. Some of the other news channels are saying that it could get in the low 60s or mabye upper 50s. Is that possible? Thanks!
Our in-house models show the area in and around Davie should see a little cooling for next week. Monday morning 63, Tuesday morning 62 and by Wednesday morning 61.
