Good-bye Paloma
Paloma fell apart Sunday night over the straits as it tangled with the Eastern Mountains of Cuba and some very strong upper level winds. All that remains is a weak surface circulation near the Bahamas but it has no rain associated with it. Most of the clouds and rain have been pulled away from the center by those strong winds.
We are now enjoying very nice and dry weather with the only possible side product from Paloma being a little breeze. Earlier, the models hinted and bringing something left from Paloma back our way, but with all the rainfall so far removed from the center of the system, I,m not buying that scenario any more.
We were lucky to have a front move over us to protect us, our hearts go out to our neighbors in the path of this once monster storm.
