Dry Season Outlook

The typical starting date of the dry season is October 17th.... its just around the corner. With that in mind, the local weather office is issuing an invitation to all the weather folks in town to attend their dry season forecast presentation.

Here is the scoop.
When: Thursday October 29, 2009
Time: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM

This is what they will be focusing on:
Past El Niño episodes pattern have been characterized by an increase in severe weather during the south Florida dry season, including tornadoes. With an El Niño pattern expected to remain in place through the upcoming 2009-2010 dry season which runs through April, will south Florida experience a greater than normal likelihood of seeing severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the next several months?

Lets hope our dry season will be just as quiet as the hurricane season has been thus far!
