When you think of the game of polo, places like west Palm Beach and England come to mind but some Miami riders are peddling a different kind of game. Deco found out it's a schwinn schwinn for everyone.

Polo. The sport of kings the game is synonymous with wealth and privilege but thanks to a group of Miami sportsmen, you don't have to drive a bentley or have the wing of a hospital named after you to play it these guys are ditching the polo pony, and saddling up on two wheels.

Far from the fields of Palm Beach, these gear heads are having a ball right here in Miami.

ERIC MADRID: "Bike polo is pretty much polo with bikes instead of horses."

ERIC MADRID: "Teams of 3 compete to score on another teams goal first of five wins

Polo may be a gentleman's game, but when it comes to scoring it's every man for himself.

ERIC MADRID: "its a contact sport so that's one thing thats different we do make contact smiles."

But before you look down your nose at these persistent pedalers know that yes even they have rules.

ERIC MADRID: "You can't take your foot off the bike you have to be on the bike, if you put your foot down you have to tap out."

And etiquette to be followed always, always bring beer.

ERIC MADRID: "It has carbs it hydrates you ah leads to good times, def a part of bike polo."

Just make sure you pop a cold one after the match.

ERIC MADRID: "You have to be really good at riding slowly in tight spaces. because sometimes the balls there and you want control of it and you have to be almost still... but you can't take your foot off the bike, that gets a little tricky sometimes."

So if you think polo is all about big bucks, royalty and fancy zip codes. Get off your high horse and get on a bike.
