Hollywood films take years to produce, but there's a group of film-makers here in soflo speeding up the process.

The 48 Hour Film Project is set to kick off this weekend. Deco found out what it's like to make a movie in a weekend with no budget, no crew and a whole lotta' pressure.

Big budget Blockbusters like "The Avengers" take years to make but despite that film's success, it would have flopped at The 48 Hour Film Project.

CATHLEEN DEAN: "It's a wild sleepless weekend where teams of filmmakers make a Film In 48 Hours."

Teams compete to see who can make the most of their time.

CATHLEEN DEAN: "It's starts with a kick off where they get a genre out of a hat then they get a line of dialog and a character and they have 48 hours to incorporate all of that into a short film."

Simon muchnik won the top prize last year with his creepy thriller called "77."
 
CATHLEEN DEAN: "There's there's a serial killer loose in my city.. and now he's got stella."

So how do you make a movie in 48 hours?

SIMON MUCHNIK: "You have to simplify the process you can't follow the rules exactly."

ELVIRE EMANUELLE: "No rehearsal at all so as an actor you have to be on your a game you have be versatile."

Not everyone makes it think christian bale on a bad day.

ELVIRE EMANUELLE & FINELY: "The team totally turned on each other i guess the stress of the event tempers exploded it was chaos on the set."

But for those who love the pressure it's all about the rush.

ARMANDO ORTEGA: "It's awesome it's really like a rush doing it."

JAY GUTIERREZ: "Last year we got silent film so imagine at one moment bla bla bla so how do you prepare for that?
