They say charity begins at home but charity really picks up steam when it gets to the Mandarin Oriental that's where the stars and their money came out for a night of giving and a night of fashion.
"Catwalk For Charity" put the fun in fundraiser at the Mandarin Oriental recently.
JOSETTE CANTAV: "Well we started about a year ago thinking of having fashion show as a way to raise money for the charity."
The event kicked off with a fashion show and Kimora Lee Simmons didn't let rumors about splitting with her husband Djimon Hounsou steal her hosting joy.
KIMORA LEE SIMMONS: "It's a big deal. I am very excited. I am so honored that they invited me here. I want to do my best my personal best to help keep the visibility high."
Kimora got tons of celeb support at the event. Vivica Fox didn't need to be asked twice.
VIVICA A. FOX: "Any opportunity that I get to come to Miami which is one of my favorite cities. I'm up for it, but the fact that we are supporting the children. The generation next, we have to care about our babies you know and Haiti suffered a lot."
Miami's home girl Garcelle Beauvais says she couldn't wait to hit the 3-0-5.
GARCELLE BEAUVAIS: "It's hot and humid. I get to see my family also,get to support an amazing charity, so I am thrilled to be here."
For nia long it was all about the money helping kids in "little Haiti" and Haiti.
NIA LONG: "When you look at whats going on around the world.The most devasting thing to me is to see a child who does not have the proper essentials."
But thanks to "Catwalk For Charity" now they will.
JOSETTE CANTAV: "Well the the to talk about the charity its good to have all the celebrities and support of the crowd. At the end of the day its all about what we do and who we do what we do for the children."
