From "Back To The Future" to "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" time travel has been a movie mystery. In "Looper" there are no deloreans or phone booths time travel is illegal and it's used to kill people.

Let's get it out there loopers might make you loopy. It's the year 20-44 and killers are whacking people -- sent back from the future.

The problem is thirty years down the road some gangster might send you back to be killed. If you're a looper, you basically have to kill yourself would that be murder? Or suicide?

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT: "A looper is a kind of hit man he's an assassin who uses time travel to kill his targets."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays Joe, a looper and when his present day travels brought him to so flo with writer director Rian Johnson Deco made time for them.

RIAN JOHNSON: "These loopers all they know is a person shows up in front of them. they shoot him and they get rid of him. they don't know how time travel works. they don't know the effects it has they know their jobs."

Bruce Willis plays the future version of Gordon Levitt sent back in time to die. But you know Bruce isn't going down without a fight. Anyone remember "Die Hard"?

JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT: "He was just so turned on by this material. I remember from the first time he and i sat down and had lunch together. he was like clearly really inspired and wanted to push himself. he's brilliant in this movie."

At the present, Gordon Levitt seems pretty happy with "Looper." Let's see how he feels in the future.
