It's not just Hollywood that's run out of original ideas. The theater world has taken to ripping off old comic book characters. Step aside "Spider Man Turn Off The Dark", Batman is the latest super-hero to take the stage.

Holy cow! The Dark Knight is coming to a stage near you. The "Batman Live World Arena Tour" is a new two hour live action show. There's no Christian Bale just a few familiar villans.

SAM HEUGHAN: "It's basically a comic book that's live on stage."

NICK GRACE: "It's a rock and roll show and the rockstar is Batman."

The show mixes acrobatics, pyrotechnics, fight scenes and of course the batmobile.

JAKE BERRY: "The Batman Live Tour is at 19 trucks, is over 100 people, we're rigging one-hundred-twenty-thousand pounds from the ceiling."

NICK GRACE: "It takes two days to load it into the venue and five hours to take it out."

JAKE BERRY: "Very extensive automation package, pretty extensive lighting package and the sound is state of the art so it's a very technically advanced production."

The actor who's not Christian Bale, says the show is a mix of the dark knight films and the original 1960's TV show.

SAM HEUGHAN: "It's not as dark as the current Batman, which you know is totally fantastic. It's not as light as the Adam West TV series. It's kind of somewhere in between. As I said, the closest thing to Batman Live is the original comic books. We've tried to stick very close to there."
