Halloween is near time for the great pumpkin to appear and peanuts fans know he fails to show each year, but have no fear great pumpkin dishes are here at Coco Asian Bistro and Bar in Fort lahddy daddy.
Fear not pumpkin the great pumpkin is making a so-flo appearance at Coco Asian Bistro and Bar.
MIKE PONLUANG: "Yes we're doing pumpkin to remind everybody that this is the - the fun season is coming along."
Pumpkins are an omen not just of scary Halloween, but of home, hearth and holidays.
MIKE PONLUANG: "Up north we have the cold weather they have the changing leaves, but South Florida is you know we don't have anything. We have the pumpkin."
Pumpkins herald delish in the season of the witch.
MIKE PONLUANG: "This year we do a lot. We do a soup, we do a main entree, we do martini, we do ahhm custard."
Start with pumpkin-licious cream crab soup and pumpkin tempura.
MIKE PONLUANG: "The pumpkin tempura we slice the fresh pumpkin into the french fry size."
Rolled in red lime paste all battered up and deep fried yummy or try some pumpkin sushi.
MIKE PONLUANG: "Pumpkin tempura rolls topped with pumpkin paste."
It's asian fusion food enfused with pumpkin.
MIKE PONLUANG: "We use a lot of pumpkin for cooking, also the main entree and also desert too."
The decadent dessert is made and served in a pumpkin.
MIKE PONLUANG: "Inside a green pumpkin, a buttercup pumpkin we have custard mixed up with egg, fresh coconut cream and sugar palm sugar."
It's big enough to share and it's not fall without a pumpkin pie martini.
MIKE PONLUANG: "It's excellent. It consistes of pumpkin paste, fresh pumpkin paste and pumpkin liquer."
Stirred not shaken just yet.
Add ice and shake as if you've just seen a ghost. After all it is made with spirits cheers.
