Some things don't change in South Florida even when the seasons do we can still wear flip flops, a scarf is a fashion statement not a necessity and we can snack on ice cream year round.

I love it when I can eat my ice cream while wearing flip flops and a scarf, and I know the perfect place to go. Deco has the scoop on the hottest ice cream in So Flo.

It's time to chill out Chill 'n Nitrogen Ice Cream in Pinecrest is a cool spot to get your ice cream fix.

CHUCK WOODARD: "Basically we are flash freezing homemade ice cream in front of the customers."

Chill 'n churned up an idea they're using liquid nitrogen to make ice cream while you wait.

CHUCK WOODARD: "We basically start with our homemade base and we flash freeze it with nitrogen and it freezes in a matter of seconds."

CHUCK WOODARD: "When you were in hs you learned about the elements. Nitrogen is an element but in its liquid state is really cold. Since liquid nitrogen is negative 320 degrees faren it freezes anything it touches instantly."

You choose either a yogurt or ice cream base. Then pick your flavor.

CHUCK WOODARD: "All of our flavors are as natural as you can get. Peanut butter is real peanut butter. Biscotti is real biscotti. Strawberry sauce is reduced homemade."

Then comes the nitrogen base plus, flavor, plus, nitrogen, equals.

CHUCK WOODARD: "Visually its a pretty wild experience."

My science experiments in school never tasted this good. And if the periodic table had elements like pop tarts and gummy bears I would have gotten an a.

CHUCK WOODARD: "The menu. From the beginning we wanted to do a periodic table. We thought that would be the coolest thing."

Once it's frozen, they mix in more good stuff from their periodic table of treats.

CHUCK WOODARD: "All the mix in's being chemicals vanilla being and, chocolate being ch. we thought that would be a really cool twist."

You want breakfast ice cream? Go for coffee with Krispy Kreme doughnuts and granola that CEKDG or how about a PBBRRS?

That's peanut butter with brownies and rainbow sprinkles.

BRIANNA AGUILERA: "I got gummy bears and Oreos with cream w vanilla."

The nitrogen is safe and it doesn't change the taste actually it helps by making ice cream creamier.

Think of chill 'n as a science lab. And the ice cream as a yummy experiment.
