The undead are spending Halloween in Hialeah. This Sunday is the "Zombie Mud Run" at Zombieland and only the strong shall survive.
The zombies have arisen and they're gearing up for Sunday's Zombie Mud Run In Hialeah's Amelia Earhart Park.
Run for your lives the zombies are coming to get you.
MARC LISSAD: "The event is called Zombieland and it's a mud run with a zombie theme to it."
And just like in the film "Zombieland" cardio is key.
MARC LISSAD: "Sound FX - Rule number one for surviving Zombieland Cardio For obvious reasons, the first ones to go were the fatties.
So ditch the Halloween candy this 5k race is all about "survival of the fittest."
MARC LISSAD: We are actually the first ever interactive zombie run You can either sign for the epic which will have all the obstacles, or you can sign for the tech run."
Techies use an app to steer clear of the *zombie's* app make that *appetite* for flesh!.
MARC LISSAD: "Essentially while the zombies are chasing you, you'll be looking for water, ahh medicine and all kinds of different thing."
To eat or to be meat that is the question and you get to choose - zombie or survivor.
MARC LISSAD: "Right now it's a sixty/forty split. We're getting more survivors than zombies."
Free makeup's included for the run-dead and beware it's gonna be a blood bath!.
MARC LISSAD: "We have the blood bath which is a big dumpster that we fill with blood., ice, ha ha."
Chilling but not so much as real zombies.
MARC LISSAD: "They actually are for real. Ok the way that they make zombies in Haiti is that they use a puffer fish and the puffer fish has a toxin and it's needles and it's actually when they stick the needle - the toxin."
