Deco Features: Pink The Runway
Breast cancer month is wrapping up the only way it can: In the pink tonight we're closing out the month in Deco style: A fashion show a great party beautiful models: All for a good cause.
Put your breast foot forward. In honor of breast cancer awareness month a who's who of so-flo headed to the Raleigh Hotel on South Beach for "Pink The Runway".
NICHOLAS WILLIAMS: "Now marking partnered with Susan G Coleman for the cure. To host this event and raise money for Susan G for a good cause because we are big supports of what they believe in as far as finding the cure for breast cancer."
It was a night of food fun fundraising and fashion for the cure.
NICHOLAS WILLIAMS: "We put the fashion show on to show empowerment."
100 percent of the proceeds went to Susan G. Komen -for the cure, and Deco Drive was tickled pink to be a sponsor.
NICHOLAS WILLIAMS: "Susuan G is one of those organizations we believe we need to support."
When it came to finding the perfect designs to hit the runway, they didn't need to look far Lila Nikole is a local girl and her swiw wear line has made a splash on the fashion scene.
LILA NIKOLE: "They reached out to me to see if I wanted to be one of the designers. I said i wanted to be the designer -so here we are today."
LILA NIKOLE: "All of our pieces today obviously its pink the runway so they have diff. shades of pink they have florals laces diff. embellishments sexy cute with lots of personality."
Lila suits have sequins, netting and even hand beading.
LILA NIKOLE: "Its fashionable and functional. all of our fabrics you can actually swim in. They look gourg but you can jump in the sea water or the pool water and still look glamorous."
The designs are limited edition so if you see one you like buy it before I do. Best of all if you want to tweak it you can.
LILA NIKOLE: "I do custom work. So if you see a piece but your body needs tailoring to a certain area, we can take the same silhouette and adjust it to exactly the way you want it. to make it accentuate what you want to accentuate."
Lila and her designs help pink the runway and the night helped find a cure.
