When it comes to trick or treat the only trick I have is how to get all the treats. And since Halloween is tomorrow, we wanted you to get some sweet stuff too. There's a so-be hot spot that has some tricks to their homemade treats.
Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road is one of South Beach's coolest spots everything on the menu is delish.
Their savory food is to die for and on the night when the norm is dressing like the dead, Sushi Samba is bringing some sweet stuff to life.
MAX SILVA: "For Halloween we're having candies. Our chef Jill got inspired she took what would be a classic candy and converted it into a samba style classic candies."
When it comes to treats for all hallows eve Sushi Samba's trick is to add some of the ingredients you find in their savory food to some homemade old school candies.
JILL MONTINOLA: "I took inspiration from my favoret candy like Snickers. It has nugget it has carmel and it has nuts i love carmel and I made ti to a Sushi Samba vers."
They're Samab-Fying the house-made snickers with miso and sashimi for a kick this snickers will satisfy because it's made with dulce de leche.
JILL MONTINOLA: "Its has a Miami sushi samba flar."
Add some Uuzu to the gummy worms and they're ooo-zoo so good.
JILL MONTINOLA: "I love yuzu i love tart and i love gummy worms."
Yuzu is a citrus seasoning used in Japanese food it also makes a killer gummy worm flavor.
JILL MONTINOLA: "Yuzu it has a tart taste its not that sweet. it tastes homemade."
The marshmallows are anything but mellow they're coffee flavored, and then dusted in a kiano soybean flour and the homemade heath bars get extra crunchy with sesame seeds.
Then they're dipped in chocolate from the Brazilian rain forest.
JILL MONTINOLA: "They're smoking the cocoa bean so that the smoke permeates the cocoa bean its really good and its has a character to it."
