The holiday shrub has been a deco drive tradition for over a decade. The lighting of the shrub marks the holiday season, the end of the year and the hopes and dreams of the year to come.
of course the journey of the shrub is a story steeped in history.
This year, the shrub was harvested in a remote corner of the office of wsvn employee lily pardo. After careful selection, a trained arborist began the process of transporting the plant.
After being carefully loaded into a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, the shrub slowly made it's way to Deco Drive plaza.
During it's journey, the shrub made several stops. Fans took photos and got to experience first-hand, a rare piece of deco history.
Finally, after a long journey across the parking lot, the deco holiday shrub was lowered into place.
Secure in it's spot, the shrub is a shining beacon of love and hope to all in South Florida.
