Its almost the end of award season and thank God because finally deep, epic movies are being replaced by mindless, thoughtless fun.
That's right and there's really nothing better than a simple action movie no plot twists no hard to follow stories just a raw, buff Sylvester Stallone kicking butt wait what?
To make an old school action flick you need a strong lead character
An unexpected partner in crime mix in a hot damsel in distress, some guns, explosions, curse words a psychopath of a bad guy and voila "Bullet To The Head" is born! Simple, right?
SARAH SHAHI: "One of the things that that this movie does really well is, it doesn't take itself seriously it knows what it is. Its not trying to be any more or less than a good old fashioned raw action movie."
Just like in most old school action movies the plot isn't complicated. Here are the "bullet" points: To destroy a common enemy a hitman played by Stallone teams up with a detective, played by Sung Kang.
SUNG KANG: "Its definitely a celebration of nostalgia. You have these two icons that kind of define what the action genre was in the 80s."
You may remember sung from "The Fast And The Furious" and though part six is coming out in may Sung says he'll trade hot cars for working with sly anytime.
SUNG KANG: "It was surreal, every day I would go home and have to pinch myself thinking about the idea of working with Sylvester Stallone, an icon that I grew up watching."

SARAH SHAHI: "The shock of having him as my scene partner never quite wore off, even though I did become comfortable with him you know, had a good repor with him."
SUNG KANG: "On every level he lived up to my expectations and surpassed it in many ways too."
And hopefully this movie does the same for us.
SARAH SHAHI: "Its Stallone doing what people want him to do and he's fantastic at it, so I just want people to have fun watching it."
