Spring is almost here and you know I can't even breathe until I know what's hot in hair and makeup this season. Don't worry Louis I've got you covered. All you gotta do is check out what was hot at the Oscars on Sunday. And you've got the looks that are popping up for spring.

Looking hot on the red carpet is not optional with millions watching worldwide.

Award season winners - and losers who look great drive fashion trends for spring.

LESLIE MUNSELL: "The Academy Awards which is the big you know the really big one, the women always just want to look their best. They want to look really really beautiful."

The stars take their cues from the world of high fashion.

LESLIE MUNSELL: "THE The fashion trends start on the runways in London, Paris, Milan and New York City. And then they are interpreted for the everyday woman. By the time it gets to the awards shows which are fantastic ways to to predict trend as well."

LESLIE MUNSELL: "One of the them was an up do that was really soft and tousled and very romantic sort of look."

Jennifer Lawrence wore it well even as she fell. Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts got swept up too.

Then wind one strand.

LESLIE MUNSELL: "And almost do like a reverse chignon."

Pinned loosely the look is messy and sexy.

LESLIE MUNSELL: "We also saw a really strong part with all the hair to one side in a really great Hollywood wave kind of old school Hollywood."

Jessica Chastain rocked it. Adele and k-stew too. though a bit more "bed head."

LESLIE MUNSELL: "She looked like she'd done hers the day before and then slept in it."

To get yours right use a curling iron...Let it set...And voila or flat iron for long and sleek like the first lady and J-hud. As for makeup...pink lips are red hot.

LESLIE MUNSELL: "This year at the Oscars we saw a little bit more of a smokey eye. the liner but also smoked up a little bit."
