Deco Features: Lokal Burger
One of the grove's hottest burger joints is now offering a bite for your best friend -- your dog. When we heard, we immediately invited a very serious food critic to try all the place has to offer. Just don't call her fat no animals were hurt during the filming of this segment.
Lynn: "Lola what are you doing? That's my outfit."
Lucky for Lynn, Lola hasn't found her shoes yet.
Lola's fancy -- and likes to dine out at one of Miami's most fashionable restaurants- Lokal Burger in Coconut Grove.
Matthew Kuscher : "Coconut Grove is just a dog community, everybody here they call the dog mafia, because everybody has it, and everybody loves their dogs, so since we were big dog lovers ourselves we figured it would be fantastic to do it, and everybody comes here and brings their dogs and it really becomes like a party out here."
The dog food is freshly made by real humans.
Matt: "We make all our food in the kitchen, its all the actual ingredients we use for our menu, so if you order food here and youre a human, you're gonna get the same food for your dog."
Lola says the meatloaf is simply to howl for and the chicken and rice is better than cat poop.
Matt: "Florida Free range chicken and we grill it with a little brown rice, carrots and green peas."
No dogiie bag needed- bring on dessert! Lokal's homemade biscuits are better than a belly rub
Matt: "The biscuits we change every week, so sometimes we have, right now we have beef lovers, and there is wheat and flour, beef broth, and some other goodies that the chef puts in there."
And for those day hard days night when your dog's been working like a human nothing's better than an ice cold beer
Matt: "This is a non alcoholic beer, its really just made out of beef broth."
There's no alcohol but plenty of glucosamine for the joints Cheers buddy. Don't forget a doggie mint on your way out.
Matt: "To make sure their breath smells sparkling clean at the end."
