All Shireen on the Scene

Latin hottie Michael Pena stars in the new cop movie "End Of Watch" with her Deco budgeted handcuffs and billy club. Shireen Sandoval went to the Toronto film festival. To interogate Michael about his great new role.

Yeah but those handcuffs didn't have the fur on the inside like ordered. You'd never guess that Micheal Pena used to star in TV movies. It's taken about a decade but he's a force to be reckoned with on the big screen. Now he's a man in uniform. Is that a pistol in your pocket or you just happy to see me

Somebody should arrest actor Michael Pena. For being so good in the movie "End Of Watch"

Yeah, he has the right to remain silent but good thing for us, he doesn't shut up as a smart ass LA cop.

Shireen: "I love the parts best when you two were in the car, yo' what's up It was so real."

Speaking of real.

Shireen: "i wanted to talk to you about the documentary feel of the movie, what do you feel it added?"

MICHAEL PENA: "A sense of reality.i think with a movie like this, with the documentary feel, a lot of people have been feeling really invested."

Earlier this week, his co-star Jake G told me the same thing. When it comes to reality acting this isn't keeping up with the Kardashians.

MICHAEL PENA: "You really have to make sure you're on point with your acting that it doesn't look like acting, that it looks like regular conversation and that's pretty tough to do for me."

Shireen: "It's almost like you have to be unaware."

MICHAEL PENA: "You have to be unaware, and for me it takes rehearsals, so i just know it's going to pop into my head."

Michael and the cast rehearsed for five months to get the reality feel just right..

Shireen: "Any adlibbing?"

MICHAEL PENA: "No thanks for asking, that's really cool."

Shireen: "It came across that way."

The movie is a gritty, intense look at what life is like as a cop in South Central LA.

Shireen: "There have been so many movies made about cops what do you think makes this one different?"

MICHAEL PENA: "Um, I think that when i read it, intially it was a different thing, the way it was being shot. Number two, the cool friendship these two had, like two brothers from other mothers."

If you can handle the truth. And spare your innocence "End of Watch" is your ticket to the darkside, just wear your bullet proof vest.

Michael just completed another film i can't wait to see Chavez directed by Diego Luna. But in the meantime, you can catch him starring in "End Of Watch* in theatres Friday.
