PrintShireen on the Scene: Hotel Transylvania

"Hotel Transylvania" is more than a good fright. It's filled with fun, fantastic humor and more than a few monsters we sent our own lil devil. Deco's Shireen Sandoval to the Toronto film festival to find out about the flick. Strangely, her pitchfork didn't make it through customs.
Dracula's little girl Mavis is all grown-up. To keep her from getting hurt by humans:
He builds a super cool hotel and throws a lavish birthday party but of course, things get complicated.
Actress-singer Selena Gomez loved playing Mavis in her first feature animation.
Selena Gomez: "It was amazing, i mean it was little hard because I didn't realize how hard it was to just act with your voice, at least it was for me."
The rest of the cast was one cool list of celebrity cameos.
Shireen: "There's a lot of fabulousness going on here by the way. You know in Miami we're very shallow, it's all about what you're wearing, or not!"
From monsters to make believe...
Shireen: "What is the worse costume you've ever worn?
Molly: "I wore, in this movie i did a couture movie, called oh what a night they had me in a lil jean-shorts jumpsuit and I just ran into Danille Lanie our amazing costumer designer and he said can you believe that you wore that."
Molly: "I played a trashy lil character that was always into my boyfriends."
Shireen: "That's a good one."
Fran: "Well, on the nanny i had to wear a bridesmaid dress that was designed to look horrible cuz bridesmaids have a reputation for."
Shireen: "The worst dresses."
Fran: "And that was like, put that to the test."
Someone's rolling over in their grave because Mavis and the human, played by Adam Samburg, wanna do the monster mash.
Adam Samburg: "I was dressed as a pretty gross lady in an astronaut Jones sketch, with Tracy Morgan, that was pretty rotten to look at."
Shireen: "That sounds so delicious."
Adam: "I did not make for a nice looking woman. I did like wearing the heels though."
Shireen: "You like heels, you're good in heels?"
Adam: "Surprisingly, they were comfortable."
That was on Saturday night live. Speaking of....
Moll: "We girls would always be like it's such a bummer if you were dating someone, and you had a crush on someone because we would be in these terrible get-ups."
Shireen: "I'm sure!"
Molly: "And not be self conscious at all."
So can a vampire-ss and a man make it? It's not twilight cuz this bite will leave you feeling good and i'm not ghouling' around.
