All More Bang for Your Buck

Don't worry, fellas. If you're still searching for a Valentines gift, nothing says I love you like a bouquet of flowers. But we're not just talking any ordinary bouquet. We have a few tricks that can really make your relationship blossom.

(WSVN) -- Procastinators fear not. February 14th is not a day to stress.

Adam Clarin says, "You've always got to be creative, you've got to go above and beyond, you've got to out do yourself."

Adam Clarin knows what he needs to do to impress his girlfriend.

He says, "Bring flowers home on Valentines Day."

But all those petals can be pricey... especially if you're the traditional kind.

Last year, 1 hundred ten million roses were sold for Valentines.

Roses go up in price almost double the regular. Roses that cost you $12.98 a bunch will probably cost you $25.00.

So why fight the war of the roses.

Instead, try finding the flower that meets her personality.

Like did you know daisies mean innocence, hydrangea's mean boastfullness, and tulips mean love?

Anna Neneth from Field of Flowers says, "You can say I love you to your love one by giving differnt types of flowers and saving a little bit."

Or you can save by buying flowers that are in season.

"Flowers in season are that we have right now are tulips, iris, dalias."

If you still can't decide then why not try putting your green thumb to the test.

Many florists will actually let you design your own budget bouquet.

"The concept here is that you come and feel like youre in a flower market where you can come and pick bunches of flowers and do whatever colors you want."

For instance, if you want to prove your love is long-lasting then consider some pedal power that will last a few weeks.

"Canteberry bells, little bells on the stems and they almost last three weeks."

Or try adding sprite to the water. Many experts say it works better than floral solution.

But whatever you do, don't wilt under the pressure.

Our bachelor Adam knows every trick counts if he wants to make this a Valentines to remember.

Alan says, "I hope she feels special, more special than anyone in the world."
