All More Bang for Your Buck

We all know chic isn't cheap. So if you don't want to spend a lot on a salon, bargains can be had right here in South Florida. We'll show you how to get a new look without looking twice at the bill.

(WSVN) -- Like a lot of us, Lauren Lormock doesn't want to have to cut back just to get a haircut.

But every so often, this frugal fashion student heads to one of the most famous salons in South Florida..

Lauren says, "It's wonderful. I mean Vidal Sasson gives the best haircuts in the world."

Now, here's the catch.

Instead of spending upwards of a hundred dollars.

Lauren says, "I spend 15 dollars a haircut."

She does it by going to the Sasson Education Center where hairdressers learn to craft thier skills.

Melvin Ainger of Vidal Sassoon says, "They'll get the same haircut as they would in the main salon, but they need to give up a bit of their time and be a little open minded."

And be a little patient.

Vidal Sasson only offers the deal once a month so it can get crowded.

Melvin adds, "We treat them exactly the same way as if they were a client. we don't do anything different."

If you do want something different - why not try a facial or a massage from the Florida College of Natural Health.

Christy Arias of the Florida College of Natural Health, says, "Our students are trained to be professional therapists so they can be placed in the most world renowned spas."

For just thirty bucks, you can look and feel pampered without over-paying.

Christy says, "Even though they are students, they are excellent, excellent at what they do."

And best of all, anybody can go any day of the week.

They just have to make an appointment.

Massage Client, Pamela Stern says, "I come every two weeks."

However, you can't be shy.

Facials are in an open setting while massages are behind a curtain.

Pamela says, "When you're so relaxed, you dont notice where you are."

But you will notice everything is done under the careful eye of a teacher or an instructor.

Pamela adds, "Everyone here is so wonderful, they treat you so friendly, its very comfortable."
