All More Bang for Your Buck

If you plan on making millions by gambling, remember there's a thin line between the outhouse and the penthouse. Lady luck makes no guarantees. But in tonight's more Bang For Your Buck - 7's Lynn Martinez shows us some casino secrets that should increase your odds.

(WSVN) Forget Las Vegas, South Florida has it's own gambling ships.

These floating casino's offer millions of chances to strike it rich.

But before you risk it all, you have to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em.

"Casino games can be divided into two groups, there are games of skill and games of luck."

Author Steve Bourie is an expert on gaming.

He says if you want to win, then walk away from those tempting slot machines.

"You just have to be lucky enough to stop it when there is a winning combination there. So it's pure luck as to whether or not you win on a slot machine."

The truth is there is no reason for a winning combination, so forget about the idea of a hot machine... it's a myth.

"It's pure random chance whenever you play a slot machine."

The same can be said for Keno.

"Keno is statistically the worst game you are going to find in the casino... Keno is sort of like betting the lotto."

If you want the best odds, blackjack, bacarat, and roulet are your games.

Video poker will also pay off.

"Video poker on average will return more if you know how to pay it properly."

But where you play is just as important as what you play.

Plenty of local casinos make you feel like a winner even before you place your first bet.

"This is the players club card, it gives you special benefits in the casino, it even has my name on it, now on certain days it gives you double, even triple points in a casino and free food and drink."

You can also invest in a strategy card.

"A lot of times in the gift shop, they sell these little strategy cards for $2-5 and those tell you how to play your hand in any given situation."

And when it comes to gambling, even Steve has to admit, it's often better to be lucky than good.

"Luck is always a factor even if you are a skilled player. Luck is always a factor."

If you want to win big, Steve Bourie will be answer your gambling questions on line.
