All The Best of South Florida

If you're looking for a down-home meal, you have two choices: Visit Mom or find yourself an All-American Diner. And since we couldn't possibly judge the Best Mother in South Florida, we're bringing in the Nightteam's Shireen Sandoval to serve up South Florida's Best Diners.

(WSVN) -- Anyone up for the blue plate special?

How about a delicious milk shake?

Now, this is what we call a T.V dinner.

But guess what? There's a catch. You can only get it at one of South Florida's Favorite Diners.

"It's better than I'd cook at home."

That cooking is only available at Our Viewers' Third Selection - The Cozy Corner in Miami Springs.

"It's just all around small-town America."

A small town that's big on all-American values.

The daily special here: How about some down home, friendly service

"We're very customer oriented."

"We know everybody and everybody knows us."

And everybody knows The Cozy Corner has an amazing menu.

'You can close your eyes and point your finger."

Just be careful what you say on camera.

"I got a burger and cheese."

One burger and cheese it is.

But just about anything you request can be made to order.

"You think I'm going to get fat?"

You could easily get fat at Our Number Two Spot - The Rascal House in North Miami Beach.

"If it wasn't for The Rascal House, we wouldn't be here."

And he's not kidding.

This couple comes here twice a day, everyday.

"This table is reserved for us."

And they're not alone.

One after the other, the customers come here to remember the good old days.

"You don't get it any place like you get it here."

"Ambiance is still the 50's, no doubt about that."

And there's no doubt, you better save room for dessert.

If you like pie, then trust us, this restaurant is a slice of heaven.

"They come here cause they want to satisfy themselves."

"We're part of history."

Our Viewers First Choice - The 11 Street Diner. It originally started in Pennsylvania where it had 44 years of great service.

"Then South Beach became its home. They serve up breakfast, lunch, and dinner 24-7."

That's right. Take a good look.

Just about everything is in its original form.

The light fixtures, the chairs, not to mention the exterior.

And if it looks familiar, that's because Will Smith used the place for one of his music videos.

"You can always get kind of a theater in here."

In the heart of South Beach, it's the perfect place for people watching.

"Very retro, very South Beach."

Not to mention, very delicious.

Whether it's fried chicken or a fresh omelet, this diner knows how to deliver.

"The omelets are to die for. I mean you've never seen an omelet like ours."

And you've never been to a place like this.

Full bar in the evening.

Fresh fruit in the morning.

And a steaming cup of coffee all day long.

It's a real American classic.

"It's a great place to come, great prices."

"It's good stuff I swear."

Next week, what do you do when the in-laws come from out of town.

We'll show you South Florida's Favorite Hotels.

Also gentlemen, it's time to vote on the Best Haircut For Guys.
