All The Best of South Florida

The Best Of South Florida promises to add some salsa to your life. So if you want really good burritos and tacos, don't trust a talking chihuahua. We found that for real cantina cousine, you don't have to leave South Florida to go south of the border.

(WSVN) Uno... dos... tres.

If you want marvelous Mexican food, it turns out South Florida does know how to cook up a fiesta.

Just bring your apetite and your amigos... and we promise two words you won't hear: No Mas.

"Come here, eat drink, and be merry."

"The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious."

So if you want to bite something that bites back, try our viewers third favorite choice - Chevy's in Miami Lakes.

"The best Mexican food in town."

At this place, they back up what they say. If it's not fresh mex, forget it because it's not Chevy's.

"It's great. Were proud of our restraunt."

And what's not to be proud of. Not only is the food fabulous, but the atmosphere is one of a kind.

"Celebrating birthday."

"You want to come back. You want to keep coming back."

And you'll want to come back to our viewers second pick - Senor Frogs down in South Beach.

"It's a family place, its a fun place, its a party place."

Yes, at senor frogs, Mi Casa Es Su Casa.

The party is always hopping here thanks to some of the best margaritas in town.

"The food and margaritas."

"The best, the best Mexican."

But then again, after 20 years of business in Miami, you wouldn't expect anything less.

"Sr. Frogs is a very particular place."

"It's the best restraunt in town."

But if you want the very best South Florida has to offer, then imagine a setting where you are surrounded by real Mexican art, being served real Mexican food.

Check out the steak paquitos, steak and cheese there, and the jalapeno cream sauce. Those who know authentic Mexican food say there's only one place to go - Paquitos in North Miami Beach.

"What makes this place better than all rest? The essence of the food is real."

"It's our favorite restaurant. We've tried other restaurants and they're just not the same."

There's nothing the same as Paquitos.

From the savory salsa to the tender beef, your meal is always fresh, flavorful. Not to mention, unforgetful.

"I've been to downtown Mexico City and the food is very similar.

"It's authentic, authentic Mexican."

But the price is very South Florida - the Best of South Florida.

Next week, try this on for size. We'll show you the best places to go to buy your kids clothing.

Also speaking of your children, you can now vote for the area's Best Toy Store.
