Bite with Belkys: Award Winning Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Belkys learns another one of our viewer's favorite recipes. This time, an award winning Oatmeal Cookie.

The Dish: Award Winning Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Two eggs
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 cups oats, uncooked
1 cup raisins

Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together and stir. Next add the vanilla, two eggs, and a cup of melted butter and stir this altogether. Now add the flour and mix with an electric mixer till the flour dissolves in. Finally add oatmeal and the raisins. Put the cookies into a 350 degree oven for 11 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Serve them up like this or cut them into heart and circle shapes.
