Bite with Belkys: Homewrecker Burrito

Moe's Southwest Grill in Lauderhill makes us the restaurant's famous 12-inch, Homewrecker Burrito. Time to grab a bite with Belkys.

The Dish: Homewrecker Burrito served with homemade guacamole

 

Guacamole Ingredients:

5 avocadoes

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

1/2 cup diced tomatoes

1 tsp. jalapenos

1/2 cup diced onions

1 tablespoon salt

1/8 cup lime juice

 

Guacamole Directions:

Scoop ripe avocado out of skin and place it in a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mash it up. Chill until ready to serve.

 

Burrito Ingredients:

Meat of choice

12 inch tortillas

Southwest Rice

black beans

shredded cheese

chopped tomatoes

sour cream

guacamole

lettuce

onions

olives

cucumbers

cilantro

jalapenos (optional)

 

Directions for Burrito:

Begin by grilling the steak, chicken or whatever meat you choose. Then steam the tortilla. If you don't have a steamer, then put a little water on it and put it in the microwave for just a couple of seconds. Now layer on the toppings, but becareful not to fill the burrito up too much. Now the hard part, rolling it up. Start by bringing one side over and patting it down, then bring in both sides two inches, not too far, and you want to grab the bottom at the same time, bring it all the way up, and hold it down, and you want to pinch in both sides.
