The Dish: Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

  • 1 boneless chicken breast
  • 1/2 garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 tsps cumin powder
  • 2 tsps turmeric powder
  • 2 cups of plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh chopped ginger
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • salt to taste

Directions:

-To make the chicken marinade add some garlic and ginger paste, cumin powder, turmeric powder, plain yogurt and salt to a bowl and mix until it's creamy.
-Add the boneless piece of chicken and let it sit on the refrigerator for 24 hours .
-Place the marinaded chicken on a high heat grill for seven minutes, flip it several times.
-On a pan on medium heat coated with vegetable oil add some freshly chopped garlic and ginger, tomato sauce turmeric powder, cumin powder, plain yogurt and sauté until it's creamy.
-Once the chicken is grilled and tender, cut it into strips and place it on the pan with the sauce and sauté.
-Garnish the dish with red peppers, onions and cilantro and serve it with a side of Basmati rice.

-Recipe serves one.
