Bite with Belkys: Grouper with a special mustard sauce

Cooking after a long day at work is no fun. So we're making a quick and easy fish dish for the entire family. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Restaurant: Alta Mar in South Beach
The Chef: Claudio Giordano
The Dish: Grouper with a special mustard sauce

Ingredients for mustard sauce:

1 pint of heavy whipping cream
1 leek, sliced
1/2 white onion, chopped
3 tsp. of Dijon mustard
sea salt, to taste

Method of Preparation:

-Begin by heating up heavy whipping cream in a deep pot.

-Then add chopped leek, onion, a pinch of sea salt and dijon mustard. Stir the sauce and let it come to a boil (about 20 minutes).

-Next, strain the sauce.

Ingredients for Grouper:

4 filets of Grouper (8 oz.)
4 Tbs. of olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste

Method of Preparation:

-First, season the fish with a little salt and pepper.

-Then, let it cook in a hot pan for about 3-5 minutes on each side.

Ingredients for veggies:

1 lb. of mixed vegetables
2 Tbs. of extra virgin olive oil
 

Method of Preparation:

-Cook the mixed veggies in hot water and sprinkle them with some salt.

-Drain out the water and sauté the vegetables in a pan with extra virgin olive oil.

To Plate the Dish:

Start with the grouper and top it off with the special mustard sauce. You can garnish with chopped parsley. Then serve the mixed veggies on the side.

Serving Suggestion: Italian white wine
