If you're hungry and on the go, stopping by one of your favorite places to eat may do the trick. This month, we're taking a closer look at chain restaurants here in South Florida. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Dish: Big Kahuna & Greek Pizza
Ingredients for Big Kahuna Pizza:
12 oz. pizza dough
2 Tbs. of all purpose flour
2 Tbs. of corn meal
5 oz. tomato sauce
1 cup of mozzarella cheese
3/4 cup of pineapple, cubed
1/2 cup of bacon, chopped
1/2 cup of red onion, chopped
Method of Preparation:
-Start with the pizza dough. Make sure to place it over a peel or on a flat baking sheet and sprinkle a little flour and corn meal first.
-Next, bake strips of bacon in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
-In the meantime, spoon on some tomato sauce over the dough, and top it with mozzarella cheese, red onion, pineapple, and chopped bacon.
-Let the pizza bake in a 525 degree oven for about seven minutes. Chef Ashley recommends placing a stone inside the oven for a crispier crust.
Ingredients for Greek Pizza:
12 oz. pizza dough
2 Tbs. of all purpose flour
2 Tbs. of corn meal
5 oz. tomato sauce
1 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
15 slices of tomato
1/4 cup of Kalamata olives
1/3 cup of Feta cheese
2 Tbs. of fresh parsley, chopped
Method of Preparation:
-Begin with the dough. Make sure to place it over a peel or on a flat baking sheet and sprinkle a little flour and corn meal first. Then, spread tomato sauce over the top.
-Next, add mozzarella cheese, tomato, kalamata olives, feta cheese and bake it in a 525 degree oven for about seven minutes.
-Finish the pizza with a sprinkle of fresh parsley, and don't forget to slice it before serving.
Serving Suggestion: Pinot Noir
