Bite with Belkys: Tuna Salad Wrap and Ants On A Log

It's no secret many parents languish having to make school lunches. But who says brown bag has to be boring. All this month, we have some simple recipes your kids will crave. Time to grab A Bite With Belkys.

WSVN -- Ham and cheese sandwich? Boring! Peanut butter and jelly everyday? No thanks!

Figuring out what to send your children for lunch is challenging, so this month, we have some help from the pros.

The Dish: Tuna Salad Wrap and Ants On A Log

Wrap Ingredients:

  • 1 can of tuna
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/8 cup cucumbers (peeled & diced)
  • 1/8 cup lettuce (chopped)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 low-carb wrap or your favorite variety

Side Dish: Ants On A Log Ingredients:

  • 1 piece celery
  • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 small box raisins

Tuna Wrap Procedure:

-Make the tuna salad starting with a can of drained tuna, then add the mayonnaise, cucumbers, lettuce and salt and pepper to taste.

-Pour the tuna into a wrap and roll it up.

-Stick two toothpicks in it, so it won't unroll.

-Slice it in half and place it in Tupperware.

Ants on a Log Procedure:

-Cut your celery into thirds.

-Slather on some peanut butter then place the raisins on top.

-Place it in Tupperware.

Serves 1.
