Hungry but cruising out at sea? Don't worry, our month-long series continues tonight. This time, we're coming ashore at a Fort Lauderdale marina with a historic restaurant. Time to Grab A Bite With Belkys.

The Chef: Asher Roebuck

The Dish: Asian snapper with crab fried rice

Ingredients for the Asian Spices Snapper:

8 oz. snapper fillet
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/2 tsp. of garlic, minced
1 tsp. of ginger, grated
salt to taste
white pepper to taste
1 tbs. of sesame oil

Method of Preparation:

-Start by marinating the fish with soy sauce, minced garlic and ginger. Let it sit in the 'fridge for about 24 hours.

-Next, season the snapper with salt and white pepper.

-In a hot pan, add some sesame oil and sear the fish for about one minute on each side. Then finish it in a 350 degree oven for about eight minutes.

Ingredients for the crab fried rice:

2 eggs, scrambled
1/4 cup yellow onion, medium diced
salt to taste
1/2 tsp. of garlic, minced
1 cup of white rice, cooked
3 tbs. of soy sauce
3 oz. of jumbo, lump crab

Method of Preparation:

-First scramble two eggs. Chef Asher says you can use plain egg whites if you prefer.

-Then saute some diced onions, add a pinch of salt, minced garlic and cooked white rice. You can also try this dish with any other types of rice.

-Now add soy sauce, the scrambled eggs and jumbo lump crab.

-Lastly, toss it around.

To Plate the Dish:

Chef Asher starts with the fried rice and then tops it with the snapper fillet and some of the leftover marinade mix. At the restaurant, they garnish with toasted peanuts and chopped scallions.
