The Dish: Pad Woon Sen Shrimp
Ingredients:
2 Tbs. of vegetable oil
1 egg
10 peeled and deveined shrimp
3 cups of asian clear noodles
1 Tbs. of oyster sauce
1 Tbs. of fish sauce
1/2 Tbs. of sugar
1 Tbs. of soy sauce
1/2 cup of chicken stock
1/2 cup of onion, chopped
1/2 cup of baby corn
1/2 cup of mushroom
1/2 cup of green onion, chopped
1 tomato, sliced
Method of Preparation:
-Begin by pouring a little vegetable oil in a hot wok. Then, scramble one egg.
-Next, cook the shrimp and add asian clear noodles. The noodles have to sit in water for about 15 minutes before using them and can be found at an asian specialty market.
-Then, add oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce, chicken stock, chopped onion, baby corn, mushrooms, green onion, tomato and toss it all together.To Plate:
At the restaurant, Chef Poom likes to garnish with parsley and sliced orange.
