Bite with Belkys: Spicy Cherry Pepper Chicken Wings from Bellini's Coal Fired Pizza

Chicken wings tend to be a big hit at games, parties and get-togethers. Tonight, we're learning how to make them sweet and spicy. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Restaurant: Bellini's Coal Fired Pizza
The Dish: Spicy Cherry Pepper Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

10 (or 1 lb.) chicken wings
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 cup of orange juice
1/8 cup of cherry pepper
1/8 cup of cherry pepper liquid
1/4 cup of lemon juice
Juice of 2 limes
oil for frying
1 oz. of butter
2 oz. of sweet chili paste

Method of Preparation:

-Begin by making the marinade. In a bowl, combine garlic, orange juice, cherry peppers, cherry pepper liquid, lemon juice and lime juice.

-Then, toss the chicken wings in the marinade and place it in the fridge for at least two hours.

-Next, bake the chicken wings in a 350 degree oven for about ten minutes. Finish cooking the wings by deep frying them until they are a nice golden brown.

-Now, prepare a sauce. In a hot pan, add butter, sweet chili paste, cherry peppers and 1 teaspoon of orange juice.

-Lastly, mix the wings in the sauce.

To Plate:

You can garnish with a little lettuce on the side.
