Bite with Belkys: Pink Shrimp Tacos from Lokal Burgers and Beers

After a long day at work, you want something quick and good to eat. A chef shows us how to make some of the best tacos in South Florida. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Chef: Albert Collado
The Restaurant: Lokal Burgers and Beers
The Dish: Pink Shrimp Tacos

Ingredients:

1 lb. of shrimp (smaller shrimp work best)
3/4 cup of corn starch
oil to deep fry
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
1/4 cup of Thai sweet chili sauce
3-5 drops of sriracha (hot sauce)
2 soft flour tortillas

Method of Preparation:

-In a bowl, coat cleaned and deveined shrimp with corn starch.

-Then, deep fry the shrimp in hot oil. Afterwards, make sure to let them drain.

-Next, prepare a bang ban shrimp sauce. Combine mayonnaise, thai sweet chili sauce and sriracha. Evenly, coat the fried shrimp with this sauce.

-Lastly, warm up soft flour tortillas.

To Plate:

Place the bang bang shrimp over a soft tortilla and top it with coleslaw, red onion and cilantro. You can also serve a side of roasted tomato salsa and chips.
