Bite with Belkys: Brussels Sprouts from Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill
If you have a hard time eating vegetables, one local chef may make you think twice and give it a shot. He's serving up veggies with a unique twist that will have you going back for seconds. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.
The Restaurant: Sugarcane Raw Bar & Grill
The Dish: Sweet Soy Brussels Sprouts
6 oz. of brussels sprouts
6 orange segments
1 cup of canola oil
1 Tbs. of sweet soy sauce
2 Tbs. of balsamic vinegar
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Method of Preparation:
-Begin by washing and cutting the brussels sprouts into quarters.
-Then, deep fry in a hot pan with canola oil. Make sure to keep them moving.
-Next, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and a little sweet soy sauce.
-After, pour in some balsamic vinegar and add orange segments. Toss is all together and serve.
