Bite with Belkys: Caprese Flat Bread from American Social
A South Florida chef has a winning recipe for your next football party. A quick dish even the kids will like. Time to grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Dish: Caprese Flat Bread
1 cup of fresh basil
1 Tbs of pine nuts
1 Tbs of parmesan cheese, grated
4 Tbs of olive oil
1 flat bread or pizza dough
4 slices of tomato
4 oz. of buffalo mozzarella
salt, to taste
pepper, to tastebalsamic glaze (to drizzle on top)
Method of Preparation:
-Start by making basil pesto. In a blender, add fresh basil, pine nuts, parmesan cheese and olive oil. Mix this all together.
-Then, spread the basil pesto on a flat bread. Add sliced tomatoes, salt, pepper and buffalo mozzarella.
-Bake the flat bread in a 350 degree oven for about 5-6 minutes.
-Lastly, drizzle balsamic glaze over the top and cut it into eight pieces.
You can garnish with fresh basil over the top.
