Bite with Belkys: Paglia & Fieno from Serafina
Pasta dishes take little time to make, and can feed an entire family. Tonight, a chef shows us how to spruce it up, with his gourmet tips. Let's grab a Bite with Belkys.
The Restaurant: Serafina (Dream South Beach Hotel)
The Dish: Paglia & Fieno
4 oz. of tagliatelle fresh pasta
1 tsp. of butter
1/2 of a shallot, minced
5 oz. of tomato sauce
basil, chiffonade (chopped in long strips), as desired
2 Tbs. of parmesan cmheese, grated
2 tsp. of heavy cream
Method of Preparation:
-Start by cooking pasta in boiling, salted water.
-Next, make the sauce. In a pan, sauté shallots with melted butter.
-Then, add tomato sauce, fresh basil and the cooked pasta.
-Finish with grated parmesan cheese and heavy cream. Mix it all together.
Garnish with a little fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
Serving Suggestion: Cabernet Sauvignon
