Flashback to the 1950's because full skirts and polka dots are back and definitely Fashion Forward. 50's doo-op music isn't back in style, but the clothes worn in that era are. Grab your poodle skirts and get ready to warp back in time as Belkys Nerey takes us Fashion Forward.
(WSVN) -- Reese Witherspoon Takes a step back in time in "Legally Blonde 2"... At least when it comes to the clothes she's wearing.
This pink polka dotted dress and this suit are a flashback from the 50's.
And Renee Zellwegger's character, in her latest movie, "Down With Love", also featured this look.
The days of black and white are back... and we're not talking about T-V.
Fashion is taking us back to the 50's.
Fashion Designer Diane Von Furstenburg says, "There is definitely a little bit of 50's influence, and it's basically in the neckline, maybe, you know in the neckline and in the attitude."
In the 1950's polka dots were in -- and now they're back at Bloomingdales.
The look is feminine and flirty.
Allison Bass of Bloomingdales says, "It brings us back to a tailored feminine look. It's reminiscent of the 50's, and we're seeing a lot of shorter hemlines and ruffles and polka dots."

"We're seeing polka dots on everything," says Allison. "We're seeing polka dots on the sundress which brings us back to the time of simplicity."
At Steam on Sunset, 50's fashion is fab.
Grab a multi-colored polka dotted top and skirt.
Marilyn Monroe eat your heart out with this black halter dress... It's full skirt flairs out for a flirty feel.
Steam's Stephan Lasker says, "Everyone thinks people need to have everything tight to be sexy. This moves with the body and as the fabric moves it's a very sexy skirt."
If the full skirt look isn't for you, try this hip-hugging pencil skirt from Neiman Marcus.
The look comes in all sorts of colors and styles.
Corina Biton of Neiman Marcus says, "It's definitely one of the must-haves of the season. You wear it with a simple shirt, the skirt comes up to your knee. It usually has a slit on the back or the front."
