Hip attire for the working woman. See clothes that are cool and comfortable. You can wear them both at work and out for a night on the town.
(WSVN) -- Whether you're a nine to five girl...
Or a soccer mom...
Chances are you are spending more time working than ever before.
"Yesterday, I left my home, I think it was about 7 o'clock in the morning, and I didn't get home till 12 o'clock at night," says
Tierney Smith, a working mom.According to the survey, by plus-size fashion retailer Lane Bryant... Most women spend at least half of their clothing budget on clothes for work.
That means their work wear needs to do double duty... on the job and on the go.
"
These days women really don't have time to change clothes during the day," says Catherine Lippincott of Lane Bryant. "They have to put on something in the morning, feel comfortable in it and have it work for the entire day."The survey also shows women not only want to look good, but feel good too...
In fact, flattering and comfortable clothes top the list when it comes to must-haves.
"
I like to choose something that I can wear all day," says Maddie Kitchen, "and that I will be comfortable wearing in the evening as well."And while you might think you have to sacrifice fashion for comfort, that's not the case.
Instead, start with a stretch fabric, so your clothes can move with you all day long.
"
Stretch fabrics are great for women in general," says Lippincott, "but they're especially good for plus-size women because they really are body conscious. They hug your curves and they're comfortable at the same time."Plus, stick with a neutral color scheme, so that you can layer and easily change your look.
Follow these simple rules for fall, and, no matter how many roles you play in a day, you'll always look the part.
