Fashion Forward: Lingerie Fashion
You wear it under your clothes, but this season fashion is revealing a little something more. Shireen Sandoval shows us how lingerie-inspired clothing is very Fashion Forward for fall.
And Chanel did it sophisticated yet sexy.
The lingerie look is in and we don't mean under your clothes.
Mark Schaaf of Neiman Marcus says, "Fantastic lace gowns. Very sexy, very sensuous, very feminine."
Feminine and flowy gowns were all over this recent runway show at Neiman Marcus in Bal Harbour.
At Burdines, lingerie is going from the bedroom to the boardroom.
Pair up a power suit with a pretty pink camisole.
Melissa Goff of Burdines says, "What you're going to find is a lot of women soften that look with lace, soft very feminine tops and skirts with a very lingerie inspired feel to them."
"Slip" into something more comfortable in a slip dress "laced" with lace.
Whether you dare to wear it alone...
Or under a jacket, lingerie is a must have for fall.
Melissa says, "It looks great with a suit jacket, it can take you right out straight from the office without having to stop at home in between to change your entire look."
At Wet Seal, you can get the look.
Here, lace is playing peek-a-boo over paisley prints.
Or mix and match a lingerie-inspired top with a plaid mini.
For a more casual look, try a cami with jeans, you can find them here in practically any color.
Elizabeth DiPace of Wet Seal says, "You can wear them during the day with the lighter colors, with the denim skirts, you can wear them in the evening with a darker, more vibrant colors and putting them with denim and stilettos."
From baby doll tops...
To lace embellished dresses... lingerie is lovely any time of day.
Elizabeth says, "Pretty much at any time and have fun accessorizing it."
That's right, pair up your lingerie-inspired clothing with soft sweet accessories, like a flower pin or a pearl necklace.
