Fashion Forward: Tress Trends
So you want to update your look instantly, try a new "do" this season. Shireen Sandoval takes us Fashion Forward with the latest in Tress Trends.
Jennifer Aniston's got the banged up look.
And Sarah Jessica Parker makes tousled look terrific.
Whichever hairstyle you choose, make sure to keep it up to date this season.
Hairdresser Lynne Bauer says, "Everything's in at the moment long, straight, curly, full and it all depends on the type of hair and of course, the humidity here."
At Bellezza European Spa and Salon in South Miami, Spring 2004 trends are inspired by Hollywood's hottest ladies.
"A lot of people look at the movie stars and they want to see what they're wearing and that's their first choice."
Long and straight hair is still big this season, and can give you more options.
Wear it down...
Or in a trendy updo.
To give yourself a more polished look... Put it up in a ponytail with a twist.
Or into a bun with braids.
Like clothes, make sure you don't just go for trendy, but what looks good on you.
"They do change like clothes do, so hair has to go with the clothes and the type of body and the shape of the face."
Bangs are still big... Just make sure to wear them long and to the side.
If you're looking for a change, go short with a choppy layered look.
Or take it one step further with some bold color... the color of the season is red.
But remember, whatever you do, make sure your "do" works for you.
"Not everybody wants to spend half an hour doing their hair, not everybody wants to sit in front of the mirror...so they want their hair to be easy but they still want to look fashionable too."
Hairdressers say once you get that cut or color, make sure to use the right shampoo and conditioner to keep your locks looking good.
