Fashion Forward: Vera Wang

Her elegant and modern bridal gowns caught the eye of stars like Uma Thurman and J. Lo.

In fact, anyone who's anyone in Hollywood wears Vera Wang.

Now you can too... but not just her wedding gowns... She's got a line of clothes, shoes and even perfume.

Vera Wang says, "I really wanted a fragrance for women that was extremely female, sensual, no unisex stuff here, and I wanted the men's the companion fragrance to be diametrically opposite masculine, strong."

Vera recently made a stop at Dadeland Mall's Burdines-Macy's, where she launched her new men's fragrance and signed copies of her book.

During that busy stop, I got a chance to speak with her one-on-one about celebrities, fashion and branching out.

"With the home accessories, tell me about some of the things, some of the items that we'll actually see," asks Shireen.

"Well, we already had out China, full lines of China and stemware and crystal, and we have just launched all the silverware, flatware, stainless steel products," Vera says.

And when Vera's not working on her home collection, she's busy with her first love, fashion.

For this season, Vera says her designs are all about color and seduction.

"I always like a bit of mystery," she says. "I always like something to sort of peek out at you that's very unexpected."

From this satin evening gown... to this red knockout, Vera's Spring 2004 collection is feminine and sexy.

But when it comes to dressing Hollywood, I wanted to know who Vera would love to see in the dressing room?

"If you had to choose one dream celebrity to dress..." asks Shireen.

"Oh, I always get this question," says Vera. "I think it's not about a favorite celebrity, I think it's about a celebrity that comes to me who believes in me, who knows that I can really collaborate with her."

Vera says she's now working on a line of bedding.
