Fashion Forward: Luxe Sport
Last year, the sporty look was a big hit on the runway. This spring, you'll get the grand slam by taking it up a notch. Shireen Sandoval shows us how in tonight's Fashion Forward.
But you don't have to smash one over the net to ace this season's hottest fashion trend... Luxe Sport a.k.a. Country Club Chic.
JoAnn Bertolino of Wish Boutique says, "It's all about ease and comfort during the summertime, especially here in South Florida."
At Wish Boutique in Hollywood, you can look like you're heading to palm beach or to the hamptons for the weekend in a pinstriped jacket and white pants.
JoAnn says, "You put on a white crisp button down shirt, a pair of capris, you can wear a lot of stripes, a lot of colors we're seeing."
The look is all about color... From this floral top.
To this pretty polo... Pair it with a pullover sweater and a pair of capris.
At Bloomingdale's they're serving up plenty of the Luxe Sport look.
Designers like Izod Lacoste, Theory and Juicy Couture have plenty in their collection.
Allison Bass of Bloomingdales says, "Active wear is much more stylish now, the looks are very sporty and athletic but very fashionable at the same time."
New to the fashion world is designer Bumi Sirotka, who's signature gold pineapple logo is making heads turn... and not just on the court.
"I guess I launched the line after spending a year playing tennis and wearing the same white skirt and the same white polo," Bumi says.
From a perfect polo, to a mini skirt... Bumi's new line is about outfits you can wear just about anywhere.
She says, "You want to be wearing an outfit where you can also go to lunch and still look cute but not have to go home and change."
So no matter if you're going to the club or clubbing, Luxe Sport is a must have this season.
Make sure to pay attention to details like piping and netting, they add sophistication to the sporty look.
