Fashion Forward: Summer Dresses

(WSVN) -- Whether you dress them up or dress them down, one thing is for sure, summer dresses are in.

Jackie: "so I'm looking around the store, I see all these beautiful dresses, they're obviously making a comeback for the summer."

Martha from Cache: "Yes dresses are making a comeback this season, it's all about color, femininity and detail."

At Cache in Aventura, I got to strut around in this summery style.

Jackie: what makes this in this season, this dress that I have on right now?"

Martha: "As you can see the dress is very feminine, it's very flowy, it has the floral print which is very hot this summer."

Jackie: "And you know what, I feel like when it gets really hot and humid outside I'll still feel comfortable in this because its nice and light."

Martha: "It's all about femininity and light weight."

And for South Florida, it is also all about eye popping tropical colors.

Martha: "The colors for summer are pool blue, flamingo pink, key lime, black and white."

At Oxygene in Bal Harbour they agree color is key, but they also say girly is good.

Expert: "There are trends that come and go, but the feminine trend has stayed now for a little while and I think it's here to stay."

And, if you want to give your feminine look a little versatility, try throwing a form fitting dress over a pair of jeans.

She says: "If you are wearing a dress over jeans and you have no time to go home, what you can do is put a little more makeup on, take the jeans off, and put your strappy shoes on and you are ready, you are ready for the evening."

But the best part about summer dresses-- you won't ever have to clear out your closet.

"I think dresses are in, dresses are in now, dresses are in my opinion for fall, winter and next year," she says.
