Last season makeup was all about glitz and glamour. But this summer the look is fresh and natural. Shireen Sandoval shows us this season's best beauty trends in tonight's Fashion Forward.
(WSVN) -- Britney Spears...
Jessica Simpson...
And J-LO all have it.
That healthy glow that makes celebrities shine.
While some of that may be airbrushing, most celebs get that look with a little help from their makeup artist.
And when it comes to makeup, less is more for summer 2004.
MAC Makeup Artist Gordon Espinet: "It's hot and humid, the more product you put on in heat and humidity, the more disaster you are headed for when it starts to melt."
That's why bronze is big this season at MAC cosmetics.
Makeup artist Gordon Espinet brushes it on just about every part of the face to create a gorgeous glow.
Gordon: "What you want to do is use things like the skin shimmers and things to give you that bronzy- goddess- like effect."
That will give your body and face a natural looking tan, but Gordon says when it comes to eyeshadow, try pinks, yellows and blues this season.
Just don't go overboard when applying it.
Gordon: "So it's not about covering your skin with color, but instead it's like adding color like light onto the skin."
At Sephora, beauty trends are like this summer's fashion must haves, feminine and fresh.
Sephora Makeup Artist Gillian Stuhardt: "This season, we're seeing a lot of bronzes and pinks, and pretty peachy colors, just that lovely warm, sunkissed look like being on the tan...on the beach all day."
To get the look, instead of foundation, start with a tinted moisturizer, then apply light powder.
For some added warmth, Gillian adds bronzer to our model's cheeks and eyes.
She skips the eyeliner, but applies mascara and a touch of pink eyeshadow.
Gillian: "See and that beautiful pink shade gives a nice highlight to the eye area."
Finish it all off by lining your lips, then dabbing on some pretty pink and bronze lipgloss.
Do it yourself by following Gillian's advice or go ahead and experiment your own way.
Gillian: "Sit in front of the mirror, you feel.. you know what you wanna feel like looking, so just go ahead and do the different looks and play around."
Experts say before you apply any makeup, make sure you have a good set of brushes.
