They're a standard staple in any wardrobe, but t-shirts aren't just for going to the gym anymore... They're also making a stylish statement these days. Shireen Sandoval shows us how as she takes us Fashion Forward.
(WSVN) -- Madonna wears one with a Kabballah saying.
Puff Daddy likes his in basic black or white.
And Jennifer Aniston likes the layered look.
This season, when it comes to being Fashion Forward, all you've got to do is throw on a t-shirt.
Corina Biton from Neiman Marcus: "T-shirts now are a trend. People wear them to go out, during the day at night, in tons of colors."
At Neiman Marcus in Bal Harbour, T-shirts are flying off the shelves.
This season don't just go for basic white, try a tee with some color or one in many colors.
Corina: "Tie dyes are back very strong and you could wear it with anything, it's more than just your regular going to the gym t-shirt, it's your going out t-shirt."
Wear yours over jeans, shorts or a mini skirt.
Double up and wear your t-shirts layered... Or just wear one with just the right saying.
Corina: "You'll see t-shirts that say Juicy Couture on them or let's ride the wave or ditch him for girls, you'll see all different types of wording on t-shirts."
T-shirts are all they do at Merenda in Pinecrest.
Tony Merenda: "T-shirts are super hot right now."
Tony and his business partner, Jeff Barmen, first come up with a t-shirt design...
Jeff Barmen from Phukit Apparel: "We come up with an idea, we throw it around to a lot of our friends and to our customers and if they like it we make samples."
Then they print them on these silk screen machines.
They can make a thousand tees in a day.
Jeff: "We can go from the stage of thinking about it to actual production in less than two hours."
Tony says vintage is very in this summer.
So are shirts that speak for themselves.
Tony: "They've always kind of been in fashion, they come and go, but now they're pretty much as hot as they were in the 80's when they had the big letters."
Just make sure to wear them right.
Tony: "It's all about the fit, if you're urban hip hop, you wear it kind of big and you've got to kind of have the bigger pants to match it."
Tony and Jeff's t-shirts are very fashion forward -- and as you can see, they can print up just about any design.
