Fashion Forward: Ouidad Haircare
Mission impossible? It used to be. But thanks to a new hair care system, curly hair and humidity are no longer archenemies. In tonight's fashion forward, the Nightteam's Shireen Sandoval shows us the new secret weapon for battling bad hair days.
(WSVN) -- Surfs up South Florida, this season it's all about the wave. But not this wave...This wave.
If you want to hang ten when it comes to hair trends, ditch those straightening irons.
Marie Claire Beauty Editor Didi Gluck: "The trends we're seeing a lot of these days are soft, romantic waves, bangs, and volume."
That's right. You heard it ladies. Simple is out, dramatic is in.
To get the look, celebrity hair stylist Sally Hershberger suggests using volumizing spray.
Celebrity Hair Stylist Sally Hershberger: "You should spray the root and then dry it. That's what gives you that incredible lift."
But for a lot of us with wavy hair, the mission isn't how to make it bigger, but how to fight the frizz.
Elaine Ochtera from Las Olas Beauty: "Down here in Florida, everyone has a problem with their curly hair because of the humidity."
But thanks to a unique hair care system called Ouidad, you can get the look and battle bad hair days in one.
Elaine: "For the first time in my life, I loved my curly hair."
Elaine Ochtera, owner of Las Olas Beauty, says the Ouidad system caters to curls. It even has it's own way of cutting and styling the hair.
First you carve and slice. Then you rake and shake. Dry it completely with a diffuser. And you've got humid-proof hair!
Elaine: "Most people walk out and they go Oh my God, I have a game to go to, or I am going to be outside all day, and I want my hair to look good. Actually, with the humidity, the hair looks even better."
If you don't have very wavy hair but want the look, this is a great option for you too. As long as you have some wave, Ouidad can give you more.
