It's south florida's turn to find out what's hot and what's not. Last week, Ocean Drive Magazine and Vogue en Espaņol hosted Miami's Fall Fashion Week. Here's the nighteam's Shireen Sandoval with a recap from the runway in tonight's fashion forward.

(WSVN) -- Slinky, silky, sexy.

It was a fashion extravaganza as celebs, models and guests alike flaunted the hottest trends of the season.

Eva Hughes from Vogue en Espaņol: "Lots of glamour, that's what in."

Black tie dresses dripped with diamond detail.

Hemlines dropped below the knee for day time attire. And trendy tweed debuted as the rockstar of the evening

All vapmed up in bold and shocking colors.

Eva Hughes:  "You are seeing a lot of color, you are seeing jackets, you are seeing tweed, you are seeing the very best."

But if you want to unlock the secret to looking picture perfect this season.

The key is to embellish.

Funky prints, sprarkling accents, and curls galore. Girls get ready to go back to glam.

Eva Hughes: "Forget about minimalism, black and white, and putting your hair in a pony tail."

But lets not forget about the fellas.

Guys will have plenty to play with this year, especially in this layered look compliments of European label Harmont and Blaine.

Alexis Zipp from Ocean Drive Magazine: "It's all about unexpected layering about putting a t-shirt over a button down, you will put a short sleeve over a long sleeve."

And don't forget something colorful. Even with these daring hues, the clothes are cut conservatively, cool and casual.

Alexis Zipp: "It's more about sophisticated sportswear, bright colors, real laid back lifestyle, but really chic and sophisticated at the same time."

And if your looking for a safe way to glam up your look, go for anything that sparkles.
