It's almost the time of the year for tricks or if you're lucky even some treats... But this season, you'll need more than luck to make a statement when it comes to your costume. In tonight's Fashion Forward, the nighteam's Shireen Sandoval has a preview of what's brewing if you want to make 'em scream on Halloween.

(WSVN) -- Forget witch's warts and gruesome goblins...This Halloween the look isn't so scary.

At Dragon's Den Costumes in Pembroke Pines, they say if you want to stop em dead in their tracks...You'll want a Halloween costume that screams with sex appeal.

Amy Iglesias from Dragon's Den: "Women want to be sexy."

Belly dancers and Elvira look-a-like costumes are flying off the shelves this season. Even little Red Riding Hood has a few tricks of her own that would tame any big bad wolf.

And for the men, swashbuckling seems to be a big theme this year.

Amy: "They all like to have a sword."

Whether you're into mischief or mayhem -- pimp and pirate costumes are all the rage.

Boys will be boys...

Amy: "One time a year they get to act the way they want to really really act and it's ok, nobody gets mad at you."

But if you don't want to get dressed up, you can get made up with airbrush makeup.

Amy: "You can do it in addition to masks or costumes or some people just want to do something to go trick or treating with their kids."

At ABC Costumes in Miami's Design District, they say Halloween is the time of year to transform yourself.

Franco Carretti from ABC Costumes: "People they like to be different, they like to change, they like to be somebody else."

Like wouldn't it be fun to be a Can Can Dancer, throw on a headdress and walk like an Egyptian, or go back in time and become a mysterious madame of the 18th century.

Whatever your poison you will want to remember...

Franco: "Sexy! oh sexy! less as possible."

Also promising to be big this year are costumes from the big blockbusters like Catwoman and Spiderman.
